Welcome to Happy Little Humans

Happy Little Humans was founded with a heartfelt mission: to bring mindfulness and wellbeing to the forefront of children's education and daily lives. Our goal is to create a ripple effect of positivity, fostering a happier and more connected world for children everywhere. At Happy Little Humans, we believe that by teaching children mindfulness, we can help them navigate the twists and turns of life with resilience and joy..

About Tesha Matthew, Founder

Tesha is the passionate founder of Happy Little Humans. With a background as a qualified teacher, yoga and mindfulness coach, and over eleven years of experience in teaching, Tesha has dedicated her career to nurturing the emotional and mental wellbeing of children. She has professional training in teaching Dance and has worked as a Social Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) Coordinator. Her journey into children’s mindfulness began after she left teaching, driven by a desire to make a more profound impact on children's lives.

Growing up, Tesha experienced anxiety and feelings of being different due to her mixed-race background. She learned the power of creative outlets for her emotions and the importance of masking with a smile. These personal experiences have fuelled her commitment to ensuring that no child has to navigate their emotions alone.

Tesha’s vision is to integrate mindfulness into every child's education. She believes that just five minutes a day can create a ripple effect of happiness, resilience, and success, transforming lifelong wellbeing, behaviour, progress, and achievement. Her work has already inspired over 29 professionals to incorporate mindfulness into their work with children through her CPD Service Certified Children’s Mindfulness Training Course. With 15 Happy Little Humans Franchisees across the UK, Northern Ireland, Canada, and Australia, Tesha’s impact is growing globally.

Our Vision for the Future

Happy Little Humans aims to revolutionise children's wellbeing, one mindful moment at a time. We envision a future where mindfulness is woven into everyday learning, making it an integral part of the National Curriculum in schools worldwide. By partnering with primary schools, communities, homeschools, and children's organisations, we aim to provide children with the tools they need to understand and regulate their emotions while unlocking their full potential.

Our OTTERLY Values—Optimism, Trust, Tranquillity, Enough, Resilience, Love, and You-ness—form the foundation of our teachings. We believe that every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and happy, and we are dedicated to helping them achieve this through mindfulness and creative self-expression.

Join Us on Our Journey

We invite passionate teachers, educators, and aspiring coaches to join our mission by becoming a part of the Happy Little Humans Franchise. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on children's lives, spreading happiness, mindfulness, and magic to little humans everywhere.

In addition to our training and franchise opportunities, we offer a Happy Little Humans Store full of sensory toys, anxiety-relieving fidgets, and wellbeing-focused gifts. Our Happy Hub provides a friendly community where young people and their parents can access wellbeing resources and courses.
